Therapy rooted in curiosity, insight, and connection
Hi, I’m Jonathan Pena, a licensed clinical social worker with over 6 years experience in the mental health field. I began my clinical journey working in a psychiatric inpatient hospital for children and adults. My love for mental health then led me to help Veterans with a severe mental illness diagnosis rehabilitate their lives before transitioning into a mental health clinic, further expanding my clinical experience in providing psychotherapy to a diverse population that are impacted by their diagnosis. I am rooted in the pursuit of helping people find their way back to themselves.
The idea of therapy can be scary for many people, preventing them from ever opening that door and I can completely understand that. The unknown often does feel scary. For others, they enter therapy feeling caught in patterns they understand intellectually but haven’t been able to change. Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, self-doubt, depression, or a persistent feeling of not being enough, therapy offers an opportunity to understand yourself with greater clarity and compassion. Together we’ll explore the beliefs, experiences, and relationship patterns that shape how you see yourself, creating space for lasting change rather than temporary relief.
I believe meaningful growth comes through insight, connection, and integration —not perfection. My approach is collaborative, thoughtful, and grounded in helping you build a more trusting relationship with yourself. This isn’t about becoming someone different; it’s about returning to the parts of yourself that have always deserved understanding , compassion, and care.
